On Women: Lumenars 1st Photo Exhibit

Presidential Proclamation No. 224 s. 1988 declares the first week of March each year as Women’s Week and March 8 as Women’s Rights and International Peace Day. On the other hand, Republic Act (RA) 6949 s. 1990 declares March 8 of every year as National Women’s Day. This year’s theme is “Kapakanan ni Juana, Isama sa Agenda!” (Include Women in the Agenda).

In line with the celebration of Women’s month and in cooperation with YKL-Fujifilm and J Centre Mall, a photo exhibit is ongoing from March 16-31, 2016, at the 2nd and 3rd Floor of J Centre Mall, Mandaue City Cebu from 10 AM to 9 PM.

The exhibit showcases photos of women from different classes, ethnicity and the like taken by members of the Lumenars Photography Club, a Non-Profit Organization composed of individuals who are into photography.

This is one of the many activities lined up in celebration of the Women’s Month and gives emphasis on the call to include women’s concerns in leadership platforms and the government’s development agenda.
