Spread 2.0: A Gastronomic Treat

In time or the celebration of its first year anniversary, SM Seaside City Cebu treated everyone with a feast of gastronomic proportions with its Spread 2.0: A Food Carnival of SM Seaside City Cebu on November 26, Saturday at the Mountain Wing Atrium.

Spread 2.0 was joined by throngs of mall goers who relished the food spread prepared by different concessionaires of SM Seaside City Cebu including The Seaside Saloon by the Social, , Pink Heaven, Cabalen, SOI, Paolito’s STK ta bai!, Hukad,  Zawadi Coffee and Gelato, Lamujin, Snowvinz, The Redbuck’s Coffee, Butterbean, and The Pitstop.

The food carnival jump started with a spectacle of chefs from the participating concessionaires followed by a culinary demonstration by Cabalen’s chef Rodulfo Mapang presenting their best-selling Kare-Kare. Students from the different culinary schools as well as food bloggers who were in attendance were treated to the best-tasting specialties. Seaside Saloon by the Social bared to the audience how they’re not just finest in alcoholic mixes but in gourmet as well with their very own Tuna Taco.

Chef Bryan Ouano of ZAWADI Coffee and Gelato demonstrated how to make their matchless gelato, creamy yet not too sweet, perfect for the Filipino taste. Chef Sandara Wang of Lamujin featured her lamb rib grill. Not to be outdone was the famous food recipe of Thailand, Pad Thai was featured by Chef Jose Alvarez of SOI restaurant.  TV host and restaurant owner, Alexis Yap and Seaside Shopping Guru & Model/Host Maria Gigante hosted the event. Sinulog Idol winners provided entertainment during the food carnival with their Christmas themed musical scores.
