Barikata Ramen Bar Introduces Mazesoba and Tsukemen

Restaurants that serve ramen have been sprouting like mushrooms in the Queen City of the South with different offerings and various origins. To compliment the CEbuanos desire for this famous Japanese dish, Barikata Ramen Bat, continues to keep things interesting to manintain their brand of serving truly authentic Japanese Ramen.

Known for serving tonkotsu ramen, Barikata introduces two more types of ramen with a more modern take; tsukemen and maze soba. Their new ramen servings were formally introduced to Bloggers and writers through the Ramenology Event at the Barikata Ramen Bar last January 25, 2017.

Tsukemen literally means dipping ramen. It is served in two bowls, one for broth and the other for the nooldes. Fresh chashu, tamago, and nori are also served with tsukemen for added flavors. Barikata offers three broth flavors for tsukemen namely, Shiro (traditional tonkotsu), Aka (spicy tonkotsu) and Kuro (totnkutso with roasted ground garlic and sesame oil)

Maze soba is a soupless ramen wich originates in Nagoya,Japan. It is served in a big bowl with noodles, minced pork, egg yolk, sesame seeds, scallions, onions, bonito flakes, vinegar and sesame oil. In Barikata, you can choose to either have a Kuro Maze Soba (topped with roasted garlic and sesame oil) or Aka Maze Soba (Spicy Sesame oil).

Aside from these new additions to their menu, Barikata also offers different Don Buri or rice bowl dishes. Ebi Tendon, rice bowl topped with shrimp tempura and Gyudon, rice bowl topped with beef and onions simmered in sweet sauce is also available.
