I Love Run: Born From The Heart Run Successfully Held

The newly formed Central Visayas Adoptive Parents Association (CVAPA) Inc. held the first ever “I Love Run: Born From The Heart” last Febuary 5, 2017. The first ever run organized by the group turned out to be very successful and it also accomplished in making a transformation in the lives of others anchored on its promotion for the welfare of adoptive parents and their adopted children and the abandoned kids.


Around 500 runners from the different categories joined the charity race held at the Axis Courtyard grounds in Vibo Place along N. Escario Street, Cebu City. CVAPA made the public aware of the cause at the same time create cognizance about legal adoption, with hopes of inspiring more people to adopt legally and get everyone in the society to have more positive views about adoption.



The said group was formed last year as a support assembly for adoptive parents to help them and their children have a happy, pleasant and well-adjusted families. Its mission is to support the relationship between adoptive parents and their adopted child.



“I Love Run: Born From The Heart is in partnership with the Cebu Executive Runners Club (CERC) through its president Kenneth Casquejo who also has an adopted child and the JRG Halad Foundation of Cebuano philanthropist Jose ‘Dodong’ R. Gullas. Organized by Iconic Sports and Event, the fund-raising activity was also made possible with the support of Axis Entertainment Avenue, Vibo Place, Cebu Grand Hotel, Nature’s Spring, Pocari Sweat, Dunkin Donuts, Dragon Fireworks, Cebu Cube Ice, Jonie’s Chicken, Gold’s Gym-J Centre Mall and Sky Waterpark. The road race was organized and directed by Coco Running.
