IT/BPM Cebu players converge for Transformation Summit 2017

The  Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology (CEDF-IT) was rebranded to Cebu IT-BPM Organization (CIB.O), a revolution from a mere human resource development organization for 16 years into a full-time industry association during the 2017 Transformation Summit last May 22 at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Cebu City.

With the ambition of leading the IT/BPM industry of Cebu into grander heights, formerly called Cebu Digital Transformation Summit, the rebranded event paved way for industry players in Cebu like to learn updates on the Philippine IT-BPM Roadmap 2022 and find out the direction and programs of the Cebu City Government for the industry.

The 2017 Transformation Summit served as venue for BPO players to know more about cybercrime, growing and hitting head count targets for Cebu, industry views on artificial intelligence, importance of investing in opportunity and talents, how to gear for more growth, how to help drive the industry into higher value services, how to manage change, and upcoming infrastructures, including the Mactan-Cebu International Airport terminal with the different resource speakers in tow in the whole day event.

The summit is aligned with the undertaking to drive Cebu’s sustainable growth towards higher value services through upbeat involvement in talent growth and assessment, robust academe-industry system inter-linkages, active backing in business development and promotions, and tactical collaborations and plans.

The group will likewise remain to reach out to the diverse ICT (information and communications technology) Councils in the country to develop their own IT-BPM industries. CIB.O is a group of IT-BPM companies, academe, support groups, government agencies, and civil organizations. It currently has 128 members.
