World Vision Run 2017 in Cebu this July 16

This running for a good cause. For the first time, the World Vision Run will come to Cebu City this coming July 16 2017. Frequently held in Manila, the running event served as one of World Vision’s ways to raise funds for its charitable programs.As World Vision celebrates its 60 years of caring for children, World Vision Run 2017 intends to help 3 million children by the year 2020.

This year, World Vision brings World Vision Run to Cebu. The 2017 World Vision Run will help provide sustainable livelihood projects in a community in Sogod, Cebu. Part of the proceeds will also contribute to World Vision’s recently launched global campaign – ENDVAC (End Violence Against Children).

The run also aims to raise awareness of World Vision’s campaign to support programs and people who are working to end sexual exploitation of children.

It will have four categories: 21 kilometer (21K), 10K, 5K, 3K. Registration for the 21K run will be at P900, P700 for 10K, P600 for 5K, P400 for 3K and P350 for the kiddie dash. Interested participants can now register at Toby’s Sports stores at SM City Cebu and SM Seaside City, Runnr store at Ayala Center Cebu, and Anytime Fitness Gym at N. Escario Street, Cebu City. Celebrity ambassadors and advocates such as Gretchen Ho, Joyce Pring, and Gelili Viktor are expected to participate in the event.

TV actor, triathlete and World Vision ambassador Matteo Guidicelli is also expected to join the running event.
