Cebu Parklane International Hotel, the hotel that stands for Cebu, lit up its Christmas Tree. The lighting ceremony took place on the evening of November 14, at the Cebu Parklane International Hotel lobby.
The Christmas Tree are made out of recycled materials. Various kinds of recyclable materials like bedroom slippers, water gallons and bottles have been used to decorate the Cebu Parklane International Hotel’s Christmas tree hotel since 2012.
Jaybee Aquino, the Marketing Communications Manager of Parklane, said that aside from this being part of their environmental advocacy and corporate social responsibility, it is something that the hotel and staff take pleasure in doing.
“I can go green, I can save lives, I can because of a can” is this year’s campaign. Empty tin cans into trinkets which will be used as decorations for the Christmas tree that is still made out of tin cans.
Flanking the hotel’s yearly Christmas tradition, Parklane also gives donations to the Cancer Warrior Foundation Inc. Cebu Chapter. The said foundation is an organization that supports children with cancer.The proceeds collected from all the sold trinkets were turned over to the beneficiaries right after the Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event was graced by Vice-Governor Agnes Magpale.
